Description:
A visit to the tropical rainforest is a must-see in Costa Rica. This tour highlights the beauty that Ticos are proud of, including the five active volcanoes on our route through two provinces. Weather permitting (depending on the clouds), we will see volcanos, three types of forests, and the impressive 85 km2 (approx. 53 sq mi) Lake Arenal; its dam produces electricity and irrigation for Guanacaste. We will also see a bullring where cowboys practice for rodeos.
In La Fortuna, you can access lockers, bathrooms, changing rooms, and a photographer to capture special moments. You will receive safety instructions for the extreme canopy activity, which includes 13 cables, a Tarzan swing (optional), and stunning views of the majestic Arenal Volcano (active). You will have a delicious typical Costa Rican lunch overlooking the Arenal Volcano.
You can take an easy walk to see wildlife, including many different types of birds, sloths, butterflies, iguanas, monkeys, and other animals. A local naturalist will guide you while you enjoy taking pictures of colorful flowers, medicinal plants, and a blue lagoon while interacting with an indigenous tribe, the Maleku.
The tour ends with time relaxing in 11 different hot spring pools. Enjoy the wet bar (hot-spring water), water slide, and hydro-massage jets, all while admiring Arenal Volcano.
