Description:
This fantastic place in the clouds is home to unique wildlife. National Geographic has appointed the Cloud Forest Biological Reserve as the crown jewel of the forest reserves.
About three and a half hours from Flamingo Beach, Tamarindo Beach, and the Papagayo area, experience a tropical dry forest, cloud forests, and incredible views. This area is known for its high-elevation-grown coffee, considered one of the best in the world.
Once we arrive at the authentic Santa Elena town, we head to an extensive zipline course that includes thirteen cables, one of which is 1 kilometer (0.6 miles) long, fifteen platforms, and an optional Tarzan swing. There is little to no walking needed. This zip-lining tour is a long, exciting, easy course, so it’s an excellent option for families looking for adventure and relaxation.
Then, you will walk over long hanging bridges for about an hour to spot wildlife! The local guide will highlight amazing birds like the Quetzal (Monteverde is home to its favorite food) and other flora and fauna.
